Public case study
Casa Carla. Multilingual WordPress Hospitality Website
I built the agency's Adobe XD design in WordPress: child theme, Elementor templates, a custom post type for the apartments, ACF fields and three languages with WPML, through to launch.

Multilingual holiday apartment website

Project overview
From Adobe XD to a WordPress site in three languages
Casa Carla rents holiday apartments in Torbole, on Lake Garda. The agency supplied the design and graphic assets; I turned that material into a WordPress site in Italian, English and German, with the apartments managed as structured content.
My role
What I handled
- Child theme and Elementor templates built on the Adobe XD layouts
- Apartment custom post type and ACF fields
- Custom Elementor widgets for sliders and galleries
- Contact form with date field and calendar
- Multilingual setup, responsive adaptation and SEO setup
- Launch support: backup and restore on the final domain, licences, security, SMTP and HTTPS
Supplied by the agency
- Design and layouts in Adobe XD
- Graphic assets
- Interaction notes
Technical challenge
A design to respect, with content the client has to manage on their own
- Reproduce the agency's Adobe XD layouts and interaction notes in WordPress, on smartphone, tablet and desktop.
- Manage apartments, images, galleries and services in three languages without touching the layout.
- Keep recurring data in one place: business name, contact details, social profiles, external booking, WhatsApp and Google Maps.
- Collect stay enquiries with the dates already included in the form.
Technical implementation
Child theme and dedicated templates
I built a Hello Elementor child theme and Elementor templates on the Adobe XD layouts, rather than adapting off-the-shelf structures that get harder to govern later.
Apartments as structured content
Each apartment is a custom post type with subtitle, size, capacity, short description, slider photos and display order. The fields keep data apart from layout: the client fills them in, the template handles the page.
Global options with ACF
One options page holds business name, contact details, social profiles, external booking, WhatsApp and Google Maps, so recurring data is updated only once.
Custom Elementor widgets
I developed slider and gallery widgets tied to the apartments, so images uploaded to the apartment entry feed the frontend components.
Three languages with WPML
Content and apartments are managed in Italian, English and German with WPML, with hreflang for each language.
Enquiries and pre-launch finishing
Contact Form 7 with a date field and calendar popup for enquiries. Before publishing: lighter images and assets, plugins chosen and configured, cookie consent with Complianz and SEO setup.
Key features

Smartphone rendering
The same pages on smartphone: every layout, text block and component was checked and refined for this view.

Results
- The client updates apartments, images, galleries, services and contact details without going through a developer.
- Fast maintenance for the developer or agency who takes over too: customizations kept apart in a child theme and dedicated widgets, data in custom post types and ACF fields. You work in the right place, quickly and with less risk of breaking something else.
- A site that is responsive on every device and optimized above all for mobile: layouts, text, images and components checked and refined on smartphone, tablet and desktop.
- Contact details, social profiles, booking link, WhatsApp and Google Maps are edited from a single options page.
- All apartments use the same fields and dedicated templates, so the structure stays consistent.
- Reviews from several platforms added through a custom plugin, straight from the connected sources.
