Design to code

Figma to WordPress: a faithful conversion, with no shortcuts on the way to code.

Your approved Figma file becomes a WordPress site the client can actually manage. Spacing, type and responsive states kept intact, delivered white-label so the studio stays the only point of contact toward the client.

Outcomes

  • Fidelity to the approved design, down to the details that usually get lost.
  • Responsive behavior planned from the Figma layouts, not improvised at the end.
  • A site the end client can update without breaking the design.

Where Figma designs usually get lost

In the move from Figma to WordPress, designs almost always break in the same places: approximate spacing, type that changes below the breakpoints, hover states nobody defined, and components that no longer look like the mockup in production. It does not happen out of carelessness. It happens because the person building the site does not read the file the way the person who drew it does.

I came to WordPress after twenty years of front-end work: I read auto layout, variants and styles as a system, not as an image to trace. If something is missing from the file (states, the mobile grid, behaviour), I flag it before starting instead of inventing it halfway through.

What you receive at the end

The site is built on your staging environment and checked on smartphone, tablet and desktop before handover. The base is the one we choose together with the studio: Gutenberg blocks, Elementor, Bricks or a custom theme. For recurring content I use ACF fields and custom post types, and WPML on multilingual sites.

  • Access credentials for the end client.
  • The list of plugins used.
  • The list of custom elements built.
  • Notes and backend instructions for updating the content without touching the design, based on the meta fields or custom post types created for the project.
  • A list of deviations from the design, with the reason for each: readability, performance or accessibility.

Frequently asked questions about Figma to WordPress

Does the Figma file need to be prepared in a specific way?

It helps, but it is not required. If the file uses auto layout, styles and components the work is faster. If it does not, I still work out the system from the file and point out what is worth defining before development.

How faithful is the result to the design?

Very, because fidelity is the point of the service. The only deviations come when an element does not work on the web (readability, performance, accessibility). In that case I propose an alternative to the studio before deciding.

Do you work with studios that have never designed for WordPress?

Yes, and it is a common case. I help the studio see which layout choices translate well and which create unnecessary cost, so the next project starts on a more solid footing.

Will the end client be able to edit the content on their own?

Yes. The content is editable from WordPress, and the handoff includes instructions on how to do it without touching layout and styles.

How many revision rounds are included?

There is no fixed number of revision rounds: corrections are agreed according to their size.

What happens if the design changes after work has started?

Small changes stay within the estimate. Larger ones are re-estimated together before I go ahead.

Send me the project.

No formal paperwork. Context, project stage and deadline are enough. I reply within 24 working hours.
